The late Russel C. Brooks was the founding Chairman of the Board for the Foundation For Liberty in 2004. He was the Managing Attorney in the Northwest office of the Pacific Legal Foundation ( www.pacificlegal.org ).
Mr. Brooks passed away of a sudden heart attack at the young age of 41 on February 25, 2007. Americans who champion liberty lost a key defender of freedom with his death. The Foundation For Liberty mourns deeply the loss of his valuable insight and effort.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda and their two children; Austin, 5 and Savannah, 2 (in 2007) --our heart goes out to them in their time of loss.
Paul Sander became the second Board Chairman after Mr. Brooks' untimely demise in 2007, through 2009. Mr. Sander is a partner in the accounting firm BKR Fordham Goodfellow, LLP in Hillsboro, OR. www.bkrfg.com
The current Chairman of the Board of Directors is Benjamin K. Ballard. Mr. Ballard was co-owner of Crown Cabinetry in Cashmere, WA, and is a project manager for Merritt Woodwork in Mentor, Ohio.
